First:

Install the beater bar in the machine.

Turn one of the blades to the top of the cylinder ( twelve O'clock position ).

Using a credit card, see if it will slide in between the top positioned blade and the cylinder wall of the machine.

Repeat with the other blades.

If the credit card can easily fit in between all blades, then yours needs to be reconditioned.

Another indicator is time, if your batch times are taking 10 minutes or longer then you probably need it done.
